Growing up in Kanagawa, Japan, I, Ritsuko Kitamura Borges, was raised in a small town renowned for its healing hot springs. From childhood, I observed how my mother and community elders maintained vibrant health by gathering seasonal wild plants and soaking in our mineral-rich onsen waters—a practice I came to understand was their secret to maintaining youthful skin and beautiful hair throughout their lives
This ancestral wisdom became deeply personal when I faced my own hair and scalp challenges during hormonal transitions. As a licensed cosmetologist and certified trichologist, I began bridging my professional training with the holistic principles I had witnessed in my hometown. My healing journey expanded to include aromatherapy, reiki, and Eastern medicine—all becoming integral to both my professional approach and personal self-care practice.
