MPEG Codec Problems

MPEG-2 Codec problem.

Microsoft Media Player won't play MPEG-2 - what a surprise as it is an industry standard that competes with their proprietary Windows Video format. So, to play the 'Big Video' formats in Windows Media Player you probably need to add an MPEG-2 capable codec. (You'll have one if you have loaded some non-Mickeysoft movie maker on your box)

If a 'Big Video' wont play, click on me, and download and install the Elecard MPEG2 Video Decoder. I have tried it on a couple of different Windows versions, and it hasn't caused me any prpoblems. I am not endorsing it, either personally or on behalf of Marenco Karate Schools, only reporting personal success.

If you have MPEG files associated with Real Player, it will probably work without download.
