Gamin Shuto

Note: the picture below shows the setup for the technique, the fingers touching the ear, palm forward, thumb up and tucked. The strike is made by driving the hand far out to the side, palm up, before starting the forward motion. This will become especially important later, in sei technique. The shuto is the little-finger knife-edge of the hand
